The cool guys do this:

$ zendmd
 >>> d = find('YOUR.ZENOSS.SERVER')
 >>> d.traceRoute('YOUR.TARGET.BOX')

If this throws the exception TraceRouteGap the path between your  
zenoss server and the remote box isn't complete.  This can be caused  
by problems collecting routes or interfaces.
