There is a patch available for this issue, but it is not specific to  
Solaris. I'd be interested to see if this solves the problem on too.  
You need to get the pyip-0.7.patch01 referenced in http://dev.zenoss.org/trac/changeset/7781 
. Then "make clean" in inst and reinstall.
