The next major release of Zenoss (2.2) will have three checkboxes when  
deleting a devices that allow you to choose whether you want to delete  
current events, historical events and/or performance data for the  
device. Until then a clear_host script might be useful. Here are the  
things it would have to do:

In MySQL:
	delete from status where device = 'deviceName';
	delete from history where device = 'deviceName';

 From command line:
	rm -Rf $ZENHOME/perf/Devices/deviceName
