Well crud.  I guess that would be a problem with wmic then.  Since wmic is a component of Samba, I doubt there is anything that can be done to fix it here.
 
On the other hand, I converted all of my scripts for this ZenPack to Perl and changed the way they parse the output so even if you get the errors like these, it will still grab the correct output.  I should have an updated version of the ZenPack by Wednesday and I'd love it if you could test it before it's published to see if it handles the errors you are seeing.

I'm sorry, I may have been unclear - on the command line with wmic, I
get the same output no matter if I use
//host.bar.com
or
//192.168.1.15
for instance.
